Fr. Darryl, thank you for giving me the opportunity to listen to your homily. Your words were very encouraging.
Through prayer I am always learning and growing in my personal relationship with Jesus.
I believe as a true Christian I am called to bring the light of faith to others with the message of the Gospel. I am a carrier of God’s love, a burning light that gives light to others, which is a gift, the salt of the earth.
Often I see wires, new and old electric cables. Until the current passes through them there is no light. The wire is me. The current is God. I have the power to let the current pass through me and use me to produce the light of the world, to be holy and spread God’s love everywhere I go.
I try and put my heart into being a bright light so that God can continue loving the world through me.
I believe I am being called by God’s grace to keep the light of Christ always burning in my heart, to give my life as a total gift in total service of God and others,
I trust in God knowing that despite my limitations He will provide what I need to be a sign of His love, an authentic witness to the loving presence of Jesus Christ.
