Saskatchewan Storms – 26/06/2012 (UPDATED)

Wow. Yesterday was crazy. (The day before was also pretty bad for some regions, such as North Battleford / Meadow Lake / Prince Albert, which were without power for over a day.) On June 26, two major storm systems moved through a large part of the province, spawning tornadoes and causing some damage. The power went off in Watson some time around 8pm, coming back on during the night.

Here are photos and video I took from Watson. I’ve never seen anything like what is shown in the video – two different layers of clouds moving in opposite directions. I was a bit too late in taking the video as I had seen a bit of rotation to the south just before getting my camera.
