Theology of the Body for Every Body – book by Leah Perrault

A great new book has just been released by Leah Perrault, Director of Pastoral Services for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Saskatoon. Entitled Theology of the Body for Every Body, she explores the every day implications of Blessed John Paul II’s work for everyone.

It’s relatively short and very accessible for anyone. I highly recommend checking it out! Go to tobiasandsarahministries.com for more information.

I’ve also been very excited to work with Leah on producing video blogs based on her new book. Check out the first vlog below: The God Story Continues in Our Stories.

This brings back memories.

In 2002, just before I entered seminary, I was part of the leadership of a group of 95 pilgrims to World Youth Day in Toronto. For me, one of the most amazing moments was the Papal welcoming ceremony a couple of days before the final Mass. We got fairly close to the stage and heard a powerful message from Pope John Paul II.

Here’s some great news: Salt and Light TV has just posted the full, 3+ hour broadcast on Youtube! Check it out below. Of note:

* The Pope’s main message (in English) begins just after the 2h29m mark.
* Some CCO people are seen at 2:40:50.
* Our now-famous JESUS sign is at 3:05:02! Funny thing about that sign: some of our group saw that a bar in Pickering was throwing out 5, white, corrugated plastic boards. So they picked them up, bought some black electrical tape, and the signs were born. They’ve since been seen around the world!
