Homily from Mar. 4, 2018 (Year A, Scrutinies): Encounter with Christ

Here is my homily from the 10am Mass on Mar. 4, 2018.

This was for the 3rd Sunday of Lent, using the Year A readings for the First Scrutiny. The scrutinies are special rites done during Mass as part of the journey for those being baptized at Easter, and they will continue for the 4th and 5th Sundays of Lent. You can find the other homily for the regular, Year B readings here.

Readings: Exodus 17.3-7; Psalm 95; Romans 5.1-2,5-8; John 4.5-42 (See the readings at usccb.org.)

We’d love to have you at Mass! Mass times at Holy Spirit Parish are: Saturday, 5pm; Sunday, 10am, 12 noon, and 7pm.

Author: Fr. Darryl Millette

A priest of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Saskatoon.
